Today’s question for Q&A Wednesday comes from Facebook and the Question reads:
“Hey Joyce…I was wondering, how do you know when your metabolism has increased?”
I think this is a really unique question that might help lots of folks along their journey.
The first thing I notice when my metabolism increases is that I become hungry faster. The more I workout the more my body requires energy/fuel…aka food. This is because my muscles are working harder and burning off body fat.
The second thing I notice is that the better my cardiorespiratory system gets, the faster my body kicks in it’s natural cooling system…aka sweat.
The heat in the body increases faster which means that body fat is burning faster and my body needs to cool itself with sweat.
So right now you might be asking “how do I increase my metabolism”?
First you want to increase the amount of meals you eat every day but strategically. Don’t jump to 6 meals a day if you have only been eating 2 meals a day normally. Increase by 1 meal per week until you reach 5-6 small meals per day.
Second you’ll want to do cardio first thing in the morning. Now there’s much debate about this topic, but I can say for me, interval training first thing in the morning burns fat more efficiently.
Third drink water in the morning with lemon. It’s been proven that citric acid helps to increase fat metabolism and it makes it easier to down water first thing in the morning.
So there you go…I hope this article has served you. If it has, please share it with your friends so more ladies can find out about TBK.
